During the first year, following my father’s death, I found solace in weaving, simultaneously experiencing deep sorrow and grief. The only thing that could soothe the turmoil within me and provide some order to the chaos in my mind was working with my hands and weaving. So, I wove and I wove.

It felt as though I was weaving my new self from a thread, recreating myself anew. Death and grief change a person. They undo and recreate, as if I were my own creator. So, I wove and I wove.

This photo collection narrates the occurrence of life happening again within me and my rebirth after experiencing profound grief.
